Volkel Airshow 2004 (Part 2)

::: Are we spoiled ? Although the general public would consider the variety and amount of aircraft on display more than sufficient, lots of aviation enthusiasts were complaining this year. Question is if they have a point ?

::: Among the highlights this year were a couple of Sea Harriers and a couple of two seat Harrier T-4N's. With the planned withdrawal of the type from the service of the Royal Navy, this could have been the last opportunity for many to see those fabulous jets. Also did the organization attract some 'first visits' like the Italian Falcons, a rare Bulgarian An-30, a German EC-135 and a number of Swiss PC-7's. The static show was opened by a Dutch F-16 in the colors of the prototype.

::: So why those complains ? Well, despite the highlights, the organization failed to attract some of the exotic planes that where in the neighborhood and missed some great opportunities.
