::: In October 2002 a number of Saab Viggens from the 4th Wing (F4) of the Swedish Air Force visited Twenthe airbase (in The Netherlands) to participate in a large scale air defense exercise called Frysian Flag. The Viggens, all JA-37D's, were part of the opposing forces simulating MiG-29 and Su-27 aircraft.
