::: The annual Open House of the Royal Netherlands Air Force in 2002 was held at Gilze-Rijen airbase in the south of the country. Knowing that the layout of the field was not ideal for a good static show, I had decided to go a day earlier to shoot the arrival of the participants. This turned out to be a good decision as the weather was getting worse on the Friday and Saturday.
