FWIT 2004 @ Leeuwarden

::: In the summer of 2004 the first part of the Euro-NATO FWIT (Fighter Weapon Instructor Training) took (again) place at Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. This year only Norway, The Netherlands and Portugal (a first) took part in this training. Graduates from FWIT courses are required to master all aspects of the F-16 and its weapons.  On return to their squadrons they serve as instructors for less experienced colleagues. Although the course is given under supervision of the 323 TACTESS, each squadron that had students attending also dispatched a number of instructors and groudcrew to support the flying operations.

::: During the couple of weeks air combat training was the main objective. Later during the course the emphasis shifted to air to ground weapon delivery. Several F-15'swere invited to play the roll of bad guys.
