60 Years 322 Squadron

::: In 1943 the Royal Air Force, on request of HRH Prince Bernard of The Netherlands, formed a Dutch squadron flying with the Spitfire Mk2. The mascot of the squadron was (and still is) a gray/red tailed parrot called Polly Gray.

::: In 2003 322 Squadron celebrated their 60th anniversary at their homebase Leeuwarden. Due to the historic connection with the RAF there were a lot of guest invited from the UK. Also taking part in de festivities were some aircrew taking part in the FWIT 2003 course, held by their 'rivals' from 323 Squadron.
