Belgian Helimeet 2005 (Part 1)

::: One of the biggest helicopter events in Europe was (again) organized by the Belgian Armed Forces at Bierset Airbase during the weekend of 4 and 5 June.

::: With the event being organized for the fifth time, it gained an awesome reputation in Europe's helicopter community. The show contained a large variety of participants. Next to the usual amount of helicopters (including some real gems) there were also some fixed wing aircraft on display.  The weather was gray and dull unfortunately (some drops of rain and no sun).  Starting with a Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP) demonstration by a British Chinook, a couple of Belgian A-109's and a ground crew, the show contains numerous other exiting demonstrations. Although flying a little high, the Dutch Apache demo was one to remember. During some of the loopings (!) it fired flares !!
